A huge achievement tonight (Saturday) for Israeli swimming, when 17-year-old Anastasia Gurbanko won a gold medal in the 200m individual medley at the European Championships in Budapest.



Gorbanko is the second Israeli in history to win a gold medal at the European Championships after Jonathan Kopalev, who did so in 2012 in Debrecen, also in Hungary.

200m backstroke, women

Aviv Barzilai improved her personal record and qualified for the semifinals, after stopping the clock at 2: 11.60, but in the evening session it is already less good.
