Ligue 1: all scenarios in the six-party fight for the play-offs

From Reims (13th), to Nantes (18th), six teams are not yet mathematically saved before the last day of Ligue 1, Sunday, and hope to avoid 18th place, synonymous with a dam against the club winning the play-offs League 2. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the teams are decided by the general goal difference, then by the number of points scored in the head-to-head meetings between them.

Nîmes (19th, 35 pts) and Dijon (20th, 18 pts) are already guaranteed to play next season in Ligue 2.

Reims, 13th with 42 points (goal difference -7)

Reims will be maintained directly if

:

- it wins or draws against Bordeaux, or loses against Bordeaux by less than 11 goals.

Reims will be barrage if

:

- it loses against Bordeaux by 11 goals or more and Brest does not lose against Paris SG and Strasbourg draws against Lorient and Nantes beats Montpellier.

 Bordeaux, 14th with 42 points (-15) 

Bordeaux will be maintained directly if

:

- it wins or draws in Reims, or loses in Reims by less than 3 goals.

Bordeaux will be barrage if

:

- it loses in Reims by 3 goals or more and Brest does not lose against Paris SG and Strasbourg draws against Lorient and Nantes beats Montpellier.

Strasbourg, 15th with 41 points (-9) 

Strasbourg will be maintained directly if

:

- it wins or draws against Lorient.

Strasbourg will be barrage if

:

- it loses against Lorient and Nantes does not lose against Montpellier and Brest does not lose against Paris SG.

Strasbourg can be barrage if he loses against Lorient and Nantes does not lose against Montpellier and Brest loses against PSG, provided that Brest makes up for a largely unfavorable goal difference despite their defeat.

Brest, 16th, 41 points (-14) 

Brest will be maintained directly if

:

- it wins or draws against Paris SG.

Brest will be barrage if

:

- he loses against Paris SG and Nantes does not lose against Montpellier and Strasbourg draws against Lorient.

In this situation (defeat of Brest and draw or victory of Nantes), even a victory of Strasbourg or Lorient can condemn Brest: it will depend on the general goal difference, or even head-to-head meetings between the teams concerned.

Lorient, 17th with 41 points (-18) 

Lorient will be maintained directly if

:

- he wins in Strasbourg.

Lorient will be barrage if

:

- he draws in Strasbourg and Brest does not lose against Paris SG and Nantes beats Montpellier.

In this situation, Lorient can nevertheless hold on if Reims beats Bordeaux by at least 3 goals or if Bordeaux beats Reims by at least 11 goals.

- he loses in Strasbourg and Nantes does not lose against Montpellier and Brest does not lose against Paris SG.

In this situation (defeat of Lorient and draw or victory of Nantes), even a defeat of Brest will condemn Lorient, unless Brest suffers a sufficiently large setback to descend to Lorient on the goal difference.

Nantes, 18th with 40 points (-7) 

Nantes will be maintained directly if

:

- it beats Montpellier.

Nantes will be barrage if

:

- it draws against Montpellier and Strasbourg draws against Lorient and Brest does not lose against Paris SG.

- he loses against Montpellier.
