The Ligue 1 honor roll is finally known: for 3rd qualifying place in the Champions League, Monaco, author of a 0-0 draw in Lens, took the best of OL, beaten 3- 2 at his house in front of Nice.
Lyon will therefore miss the Champions League again and will play in the Europa League, like Marseille and Rennes, who snatched the last European place in Lens.
At the bottom, Nantes, 18th, will play its maintenance in the League in a round-trip barrage against Toulouse, 3rd in Ligue 2, on May 27 and 30.

Lyon let his chance pass
Rudi Garcia and his players can blame themselves. It was they who led 2-1 at the break and were virtually 3rd, as Monaco failed to convert a single of their many chances at Lens. They even thought they had made the break, 3-1 by Aouar, before the VAR invalidated the goal.
Toko-Ekambi, from the head, opened the scoring for OL in front of Nice (1-0, 14th) on a cross from Depay.
A quarter of an hour later, Dolberg pushed to the back of the net a too crossed strike from Lees-Melou and sealed the Nice equalizer (1-1, 29th).
Then, new service from Depay as in the parade and new goal from Toko-Ekambi and Lyon returned to Nice shortly before the break (2-1, 40th).
Everything fell apart for the Lyonnais in the second period.
The equalizer in Nice came from Hassane Kamara (50th) with a distant strike from the left, then the 3-2 following a free kick from the left of Gouiri, extended in the goal of Lopes by Saliba (57th) .

For its part, Monaco dominated Lens at Bollaert but failed to transform the opportunities obtained by Ben Yedder (20th), Volland (30th), nor the twenty shots fired against 4 against Lensois.
Rennes 6th and European
While Marseille, unsurprisingly, and Lyon, without joy, will play the Europa League, Rennes, fairly quiet winner of Nîmes 2-0, grabbed 6th place in Lens at the last minute and took the last European place, in the Europa League Conference .

The Red and Black took the lead thanks to a goal from Guirassy, following a cross from Doku (1-0, 25th).
After the break, a powerful strike from Bourigeaud confirmed the Rennes success (2-0, 51st).
Nantes remains barrage
Despite its recovery in the last matches, Nantes will have to compete in the play-offs. While Lorient, then Brest have in turn temporarily occupied the place of barrage, it is ultimately the people of Nantes who will stick to it.
