Ligue 1: Galtier elected best coach of the season

Unsurprisingly, Christophe Galtier (Lille) is named best coach of the season as part of the UNFP Trophies. Rudi Garcia (Lyon), Franck Haise (Lens), Niko Kovac (Monaco) and Christophe Pélissier (Lorient) were also among the nominees. This is the third time that the 54-year-old technician has inherited this award after 2013 (tied with Carlo Ancelotti) and 2019, a record that the interested party shares with Laurent Blanc (2008, 2015, 2016). Arrived in Lille in December 2017, after almost eight years on the bench of ASSE, Christophe Galtier led the Mastiffs to the top of Ligue 1 in 2020-21.
