Villarreal FC won the Europa League.
The Spaniards beat Manchester United in the final in Gdańsk 12:11 (1-0, 1-1, 1-1) on penalties.
Gerard (29th) had put Villarreal in the lead in regular time, Edinson Cavani equalized for United (55th).
After extra time, goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli was the match winner with a saved penalty after he had previously converted.
