Any result other than a big victory for Maccabi Tel Aviv will be considered a sensation.

After quite a few question marks, statements and demands, Maccabi Rishon Lezion has decided that it will play in the cup final against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the best squad available to Guy Goodes.

This means that the Oranges will emerge with the remaining six senior players - Achilles Mitchell, Golan Gut, Igor Kolshov, Nimrod Tishman, Noam Avivi and Ido Fleischer, the players who filled the staff throughout the season - Tal Peled, Gal Tessler, Bnei Elazar and Guy Altman and three Youth players.

At Maccabi Tel Aviv, Scotty Wilbkin returns after the storm that was in the game against Hapoel Jerusalem.

The two teams meet in the final game for the second time.

Exactly a decade ago, Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Rishon Lezion 69:82 in the final.

The Yellows have 44 trophy wins in 50 appearances in the final, and they have not won the trophy since 2016/17.

On the other hand, for Rishon Lezion this is the fourth appearance in the final, without a win.

Apart from the loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv a decade ago, the Oranges were also defeated in the final against Hapoel Galil Elyon in 1992 and against Hapoel Jerusalem in 2019.
