TSV Eching is spending a lot of money.

Eching

- good teamwork and solidarity, commitment and continuity characterize the work of the club at TSV Eching - especially in times of the Corona.

This was shown at a preliminary information conference for the upcoming general meeting, at which the outgoing President Rudolf Hauke gave the almost 60 participants an overview of all relevant personnel, financial, sporting and organizational facts and challenges relating to current TSV club events and the upcoming plans.

For the first time in the club's history, the new elections on June 10th, during which Hauke will provide his office on the board, will be held as an online event. As the most important personage, Hauke presented his designated successor, the 45-year-old Manfred (Manni) Oster. (we reported). The IT specialist and trained banker is a father of two and comes from Unterschleißheim, played soccer at SV Lohhof and SV Riedmoos and has lived in Eching since 1996. “Accompanied” by his son, who is also a football enthusiast, he joined the TSV and three years ago was “promoted” to youth coach by the watching father and fan. He says he has "a lot of fun" with this task. Since then he has been involved as a small field coordinator as well as in the development of a youth concept, especially when setting up an online platform and wants to continue to drive the digitization area in the future. “The chemistry in the team is right. We have achieved a lot ”, he attests to the volunteer colleagues - and most importantly:“ There is a lot of mutual support ”. This basis of trust is necessary in a large, successful association and also crucial for a positive public image.

Oster's concern will also be to continue the solid economic course taken by his two predecessors on the basis of healthy finances and, above all, to bind his own ambitious youngsters to the club in the long term.

The other board members with deputy Beer, finance minister Wolfgang Nagl, youth leader Florian Uffinger and secretary and press spokeswoman Leni Beer remain on board and face certain re-election.

There was only a castling in the position of the 3rd chairman: For Bene Labermeier, who in future will act as assessor as well as youth trainer Peter Hanrieder, Jan Strehlow, player of the first men's team and coach of the women's team, will now join the trio of the board.

The club has invested a lot of money in order to make its sports home, which dates from the 1970s, “future-proof”. The (over) due renovations include the cabin and sanitary wing with the installation of a new ventilation system as well as the complete renovation of the restaurant with kitchen and outdoor area and insulation of the outer facade. A hearty alpine hut is also to be built again. The work is still ongoing, and one or two unpleasant surprises, such as leaks and water damage on the outside wall of the terrace, mean that the construction project will become more expensive, to a total of an estimated 280,000 euros. As great as the commitment of many club members is, including the extensive personal contribution, Hauke is disappointed about the cooperation with the town hall, which he finds grueling.

The unsuccessful appointment of a sports and club clerk from the ranks of the local council is particularly bitter for him and is a sign of a lack of appreciation for the diverse commitment in voluntary work. He would have liked better, i.e. faster, support from the community, be it in the case of an upcoming lease agreement with a neighboring farmer for the training area behind the stadium or the granting of a guarantee from the municipality for a bank loan to finance the renovation of the sports center.

Culinary news

On the other hand, Hauke was able to make good - one could also say "promising culinary news" with regard to the leasing of the sports restaurant.

The two experienced restaurateurs Oana Pogacean and Gabriela Mihaila take over the restaurant under the new name “Casa Rustica” and offer a healthy mix of German and Balkan cuisine with specialties from their Romanian homeland - including their own “pastry shop” and catering.

"We look forward to our guests and are open to all of the club's wishes," said the landlords.
