The International Football Association Board (IFAB) announces this Thursday that it has extended the rule of five changes until December 31, 2022. It is up to the various competitions, national or international, to apply it or not.
A measure, an amendment to Law 3 of the game, which is intended to cushion the shock of the Covid-19 pandemic on organizations.
The authorities authorized five changes, instead of three normally, in May 2020. Ifab is the guarantor of the laws of the game.
Five-substitute option extended until 31 December 2022 in response to ongoing COVID-19 impact
