One step separates the Al-Thawra and Al-Galaa teams towards the final of the women's basketball championship of the Republic, after their victory over Tishreen and Al-Sahel, respectively, in the first-leg semi-final matches.
In the basketball hall in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia, Al-Thawra defeated Tishreen with a score of 71-52 points, after advancing in the first, second and fourth quarters by 13-9, 25-12 points, and 18-13 points, and the third quarter ended in favor of Tishreen by 18-15 points.
Al-Galaa also won on Al-Sahel in their match at Al-Galaa Club Hall in Aleppo with a score of 83-55 points, as it outperformed Al-Galaa in the first three quarters by 11-18 points, 11-28 points and 18-10 points, while Al-Sahel advanced in the fourth quarter 23-19 points.
The two semi-final second leg matches will be held next Tuesday, while the final of the tournament will be held on the eighth of next month.
