Despite a lively and enjoyable final, there were only three shots on target in this meeting. A small total but sufficient to allow Chelsea to punish Manchester City's defensive wanderings this Saturday in the Champions League final (1-0). Just before the break, Kai Havertz scored the game's one and only goal. Taking advantage of the poor defensive placement of the Mancuniens, the German was launched in the axis and found himself alone against Ederson. He dribbled past the goalkeeper and pushed the ball into the net to score his first goal of the competition. An achievement which therefore offers Chelsea the second Champions League in its history.
THE GOAL OF KAI HAVERTZ !!!
Chelsea opens the scoring.
Everything starts from Edouard Mendy, and Chelsea's attack takes advantage of the gaping holes in City's defense, thanks to a superb assist from Mount.
Chelsea take the advantage: 1-0.
