The girls from Brest did it this Saturday afternoon.
They defeated the Hungarian Györ, triple title holders, after a penalty shootout (4-2, 23-23 after extra time) in Budapest.
Brest is the first French women's club to qualify for the C1 final, where Metz had failed in previous years.
The Brest club will face in the final this Sunday either the Russians from CSKA Moscow or the Norwegians from Kristiansand who challenge each other this Saturday at the end of the afternoon.

By eliminating the big favorite Györ, a team led by the former Parisian Stine Oftedal considered the best player on the planet and which sees its streak of 55 undefeated C1 games come to an end, Brest Bretagne Handball can dream of becoming the first French women's club to lift the most coveted trophy.

At the gates of the Grand Slam
