Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier dies after an accident in qualifying

Jason Dupasquier died one day after his serious accident. The Swiss motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries in a fall in qualifying on Saturday.

The Swiss motorcycle racer Jason Dupasquier, who had an accident on Saturday in qualifying of the Moto3 class at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello, died on Sunday.

The organizers announced.

Accordingly, the 19-year-old succumbed to his serious injuries.

"On behalf of the entire MotoGP, we send our love to his team and his family," the message said: "We will miss you very much." The Moto3 race was just over at the time, the Moto2 World Championship was just starting a few minutes after the death was announced.

According to the doctors, Dupasquier had suffered severe brain injuries in the accident on Saturday and has since been in critical condition.

The driver from the German team Prüstel GP had also been operated on on Sunday night because of vascular injuries to the chest.

Since then, Dupasquier has been in the intensive care unit of the Careggi hospital in Florence.

Jason Dupasquier fell in a corner with his KTM.

At least one subsequent driver should have touched or even rolled over him.

However, the TV images could not fully explain the course of the accident.

Dupasquier received medical care for 40 minutes at the scene of the accident and then flown to the clinic by rescue helicopter.
