The Allianz Arena in Munich can be filled to 20% of its capacity for its first Euro match on June 15. A gauge that will be maintained

The Bavarian authorities gave the green light on Friday to host 14,000 spectators per match at the Allianz Arena in Munich for the Euro (June 11-July 11).

“Bavaria is doing better, normalcy is returning.

With a strict health protocol, tests and masks, the filling of the stadium will be authorized at 20%, or around 14,000 spectators, ”announced the head of regional government Markus Söder.

The Germany-France match on June 15 will therefore be the first to welcome several thousand fans in Munich since the introduction of the closed door in March 2020, Bayern Munich having only replayed once in front of 200 supporters, for the last Bundesliga game this season.

The Bavarian capital is due to host the three matches of the first round of Germany, against France, Portugal (June 19) and Hungary (June 23) as well as a quarter-final on July 2.

The Blues will also play in front of an audience in Hungary

For the Blues, it will be the second game of the year with the public. A week earlier, on June 8, Didier Deschamps' players will face Bulgaria in a preparation match at the Stade de France in front of 5,000 spectators, who will have to provide a health pass (vaccination certificate or recent negative PCR test). Previously, Karim Benzema's teammates faced Wales in Nice in front of empty seats.

After Germany, the Blues will follow up with two games against Hungary (June 19) and Portugal (June 23) at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, in a stadium which will be 100% full as indicated by UEFA on April 9. For other venues that will host Euro matches: Saint Petersburg and Baku have confirmed gauges of 50% while Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen and Glasgow will open 25% to 33% of their stadiums. London have confirmed a tonnage of at least 25% for the first three group matches and the round of 16 match. The English capital will also host the semi-finals and the final.
