At the most recent district championship there was one title and two runner-up titles.

The game was played on the grounds of SV Lohhof.

Penzberg - That went very well for the tennis offspring of the TC Penzberg.

At the most recent regional championship there was one title (by Samuel Gampenrieder) and two runner-up titles (Maxi Ontiveros, Ronja Scheuermann).

The game was played on the grounds of SV Lohhof.

Samuel Gampenrieder:

No one could get past Samuel Gampenrieder in Unterschleißheim among the U11 boys. In the end, he "deservedly" won, according to a statement. The Iffeldorfer, seeded number three, had not been lucky in the draw. On his way to the title, he met other BTV squad players. Gampenrieder showed his best game in the opening round. His opponent, Valentin Henss (SV Pang), knew how to use the adverse conditions (rain, 10 degrees Celsius, an extremely slow place) and was 5-2 ahead. Then Gampenrieder got the game under control - he won the first set 7-5. As a result, the hard defending Hess left the forces, and the Iffeldorfer decided the second set 6: 2 for himself. In the quarterfinals, Gampenrieder clearly won (6: 1, 6: 2) against Luis Feißt (TC Großhesselohe). The semifinals developed into an exciting exchange of blows: Gampenrieder won the first set 6: 3, the second set was won by Max Gamböck (TC Sport Scheck) 6: 2. In the match tie-break, Gampenrieder was 2: 4 behind, then made six points in a row and finally won 10: 5.

In the final, the Iffeldorfer met a permanent rival, Vincent Schwarz (TC Aschheim).

At first Gampenrieder dominated.

After winning the first round (6: 1), Gampenrieder was 3: 1 ahead in the second set before rain caused a 30-minute break.

This led to "a break in the game" for the TC player, according to a message.

Black caught up - it went into the tie-break.

There Gampenrieder awarded two match balls with a score of 6: 4.

He used the third with a hard hit forehand to win the tournament.

Both finalists are qualified for the Bavarian championship, which will be played in Dachau.

Ronja Scheuermann:

Ronja Scheuermann made it to the final of the U18 women as an unseeded player.

There she had to admit defeat to the favorite, Helene Schnack (TC Raschke Taufkirchen), in the match tie-break (4: 6, 6: 3, 7:10).

Nevertheless: "She can be proud of the title of Vice District Champion", so the TC Penzberg.

In the quarter-finals, Scheuermann had clearly won 6: 3, 6: 2 against number two seeded Kim Martin (MTTC Iphitos Munich).

In the semifinals she defeated number three on the seed list, Hanna Resch (TC Aschheim), also in two sets (7: 5, 6: 0).

According to TC Penzberg, this victory was also “safe”.

Maxi Ontiveros:

Maxi Ontiveros (U16) moved in familiar territory on the SV Lohhof facility. The TC player already knew the tournament director, the coaches at the edge and most of the players. In the first round Ontiveros clearly won against Paul Janson (TC Sport Scheck) in two sets (6: 4, 6: 1). Then he met the only unknown player, Samir Zulic (TC Rimsting). He showed very quick basic strokes, but Ontiveros acted consistently and held against it so successfully (6: 4, 6: 4). In the semifinals there was a duel with Nico Pfennig (TC Grosshesselohe), against whom the TC player had never won before. The most recent defeat, suffered in the SVN Cup, was only three weeks ago. This time the Penzberger got the upper hand in an exciting match (6: 7, 6: 1, 14:12). The tactics given by trainer Roland Hecker helped: He advised Ontiveros,to take the opponent by surprise with a much more aggressive game than usual.

The crowning glory was ultimately denied to the young Penzberger, because the top seed Moritz Kudernatsch (TC Großhesselohe) turned out to be too strong in the final. Especially in the first set, the opponent bribed with a good serve. In the second set Ontiveros was on the opponent, but could not turn the game around (1: 6, 4: 6). Nevertheless, according to TCP, he was pleased with a “very nice result”.
