With the participation of more than 150 male and female students, the training course for coaches and referees with physical strength was launched today at the Sports Union building in Damascus and will last for four days.
The first theoretical axis of the course, which was presented by the local lecturer, Safouh Al-Sibai, dealt with the foundations of correct sports nutrition and steroids and their harms, while the two Lebanese international lecturers, Hassan Qaiq and accredited by the Austrian International Olympic Committee, Majed Salama, touched on the elements of physical fitness and training ratios, amid a great interaction of male and female students.
The head of the Federation of Physical Strength, Ziyad Muhammad, the lecturer in the course also said in a statement to the SANA representative that “the course is being held for the first time and targets an important segment of athletes, as it is held under international supervision, and it is intense in terms of theoretical and practical lectures specialized in training science and muscular anatomy, in addition to methods of organizing tournaments.” and arbitration.”
Muhammad added that the course is an opportunity to transfer the experiences of the champions of the game and its international cadres to our cadres, and this is reflected positively on the development of the level of Syrian sport, technically and organizationally, indicating that at the end of the course, students will be awarded certificates of experience in training and arbitration, each according to his specialization.
A number of learners pointed out the importance of this course in increasing their training experience and keeping them up to date with global developments in the field of training in order to apply them to their trainees, thus contributing to the development of their skills, in addition to enabling them to view the new arbitration laws.
