Abu Dhabi, SANA- The Syrian national football team will meet Guam today at Sharjah Stadium in its pre-brother match

Abu Dhabi-Sana

The Syrian national football team will meet Guam today at Sharjah Stadium in its penultimate match of the second round of the joint qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar 2022 and the Asian Cup in China 2023, at five in the evening.

The coach of our national team, Nabil Maaloul, explained in the press conference for the match that the preparations were very short due to the change in the dates of the matches, as the time difference between our team’s match with the Maldives, which was held last Friday and today’s match with Guam is very short, and therefore our focus has been on restoring the strength of the players as quickly as possible.

And our team player, Muhammad Al-Hallaq, expressed his willingness and his colleagues to achieve the required victory to resolve the top of the group to make the Syrian fans happy.

Absent from the match are our players Ibrahim Alama and Amr Medani for the accumulation of yellow cards, supporter Al-Ajjan for receiving a red card, and Ayaz Othman, who complains of a slight bruise after the Maldives match, which required his rest by the coach.

Our team had won a valuable victory over the Maldives with four goals without a response, which ensured its qualification to the Asian finals and the decisive role of the World Cup qualifiers, where it raised its score to 18 points, strengthening its lead in the first group, ahead of China by eight points, and the Philippines team came third with 7 points, then the Maldives team With 6 points, and finally Guam without points.
