The court of the Football Association today (Wednesday) sentenced Dolev Haziza to be suspended from three actual games and fined NIS 5,000 for the song he sang condemning Maccabi Tel Aviv fans during Maccabi Haifa's championship celebrations.
At first, the prosecution and the defense wanted to close a plea deal that would include a ban from only one game and a fine of NIS 2,000, but Judge Noam Lubin did not accept the deal and ruled a ban from three games and a fine.

Noam Lubin Dayan explained his verdict when he wrote: "When the defendant, a member of the Israel national team, sits on the shoulders of the fans happy and kind, happy, smiling and joins the lyrics of the fans' songs, he is ignorant of the meaning of the words spoken, and the harm they cause to a whole public." .
The implication in terms of firecrackers is that he will miss the Champions League game in which his team will play a part, and then the Toto Cup semi-final and final (if the Greens win the Champions League) or the ranking games.
