The governing body of European football has suspended the disciplinary proceedings against the three dissident clubs, Real Madrid,

The UEFA Appeal Committee decided on Wednesday to suspend "until further notice" the disciplinary proceedings against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Juventus Turin, the last three mutinous clubs who still refuse to deny the ephemeral private “Super League” project.

The European organization had "opened a disciplinary procedure" on May 25, threatening to sanction the three clubs for a "potential violation of the legal framework of the UEFA" while the nine other promoters of the "Super League" escaped these prosecution in exchange for light financial penalties.

A victory for Florentino Perez (president of Real Madrid) and Andrea Agnelli (president of Juventus Turin), in particular, the leaders of the “dissidents”?

In any case, a month and a half after the incredible episode of the Super League, launched by some historic clubs in Europe, and killed in the bud, the battle, which continues behind the scenes, has taken a more favorable turn for them.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, who threatened the three institutions with heavy sanctions, is quieter today.

According to Spanish radio Cadena Ser, the Swiss Ministry of Justice - where Fifa and UEFA are based - had informed the two bodies of the impossibility, or the ban, of punishing Juve, Real or Barça. In recent weeks, the Spanish justice had already ruled in this direction. The Madrid Commercial Court had issued a decision in which it also prohibited the two organizations from applying sanctions against the twelve secessionist clubs, under European law which allows the creation of private competitions. This court had even seized the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which opened a procedure to determine whether UEFA or Fifa exceeded their rights, and profited from their dominant position.
