Spain are the big favorites of Group E. It is a changing team which will have to recover from the last disappointing years.
Luis Enrique, the manager, has decided not to retain any Real Madrid player.
After the departure of several executives including Iniesta and Xavi, the new generation must take over.
Thiago, Pedri or even Gerard Moreno are all names that can carry La Roja.
Be careful, however, to the pace of the Spaniards, which may have been affected by the cases of Covid recorded in recent days and especially that of the captain and regulator of midfielder Sergio Busquets.

The rest of the group is roughly the same. In Sweden, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kulusevski are withdrawn, Isak and company will have to continue their momentum. They won all of their matches during the qualifying phase. During the last World Cup, the Swedes managed to reach the quarter-finals, before being eliminated by England. But, it is a regular in the competition that we will find.
Eliminated in the first round of the 2018 World Cup, Poland hopes to do better this time.
For that, she will be able to count in particular on Robert Lewandowski, the serial goalscorer of Bayern Munich, who exceeded the record of Gerd Müller by scoring 41 goals in Bundesliga this season (in 29 matches!).
The playoffs were convincing as the Poles came away with six wins in eight games.
As a reminder, they reached the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, in France.
They can therefore aim higher, despite elimination in the group stage at the last World Cup.

Anything can happen in this very uncertain Group E which also includes Slovakia. The Slovaks, with Milan Skriniar, Italian champion with Inter Milan, and Marek Hamsik, report this season of a victory and two draws in the qualifying phase. They can hope to win third place, which can be qualifying in this competition.
