Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid won the award for the best player in the Spanish Premier League during the season ending 2020-2021.
The official website of the Spanish Federation stated that Oblak won the award, outperforming his competitors, most notably Argentine star Lionel Messi, captain of Barcelona and French Karim Benzema, striker of Real Madrid.
During the season ending in the Spanish League, Oblak saved 103 balls and kept a clean sheet in 18 matches.
