Syria's basketball team lost to Saudi Arabia by two points, 77-79 points after an extra time, as the original time ended in a tie with a score of 69-69 points in the match that brought them together today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the third window of the Asian finals qualifiers.
Our team finished the first quarter ahead of Saudi Arabia by 20-19 points and was late by six points in the second quarter with a score of 14-20 points. The first half ended with our team’s delay of 34-39 points, while the match ended in a tie 69-69 points and an additional time was resorted to, which ended with our team’s delay Two points with a score of 77-79.
Our team had previously defeated the Saudi team in the second round of qualifiers in the first window, with a score of 75-70 points, after resorting to extra time.
The decision to qualify for the Asian finals has been postponed for our team to its next and last match of the qualifiers, which will bring it together with the Qatar national team the day after tomorrow in the capital Amman as well.
