Inter Milan striker Alexis Sanchez will miss the Chile national team during the group stage of the Copa America 2021, which will be hosted by Brazil.
According to the Chilean Football Association, Sanchez suffered a muscle injury during the last training with his country before traveling to Brazil, and he will remain with the team's medical team during the first stage of the tournament, which starts tomorrow, for the recovery process.
Chile was placed in the first group of the tournament along with Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay.
The tournament was scheduled to be held last year in Argentina, in the presence of Australia and Qatar, but it was postponed for a year due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, and it was transferred to Brazil, and participation was limited to South American teams.
