Striker Kiefer Moore headed home from a rare opportunity to give Wales a 1-1 draw with Switzerland in the European Championship Group A at the Olympic Stadium in Baku today.
Italy tops the group after its big 3-0 victory over Turkey in the opening tournament yesterday, and will host Switzerland in Rome next Wednesday.
Moore, who was saved by goalkeeper Jan Sommer in the first half, converted a corner kick from Joe Morrell with a header into the goal in the 740th minute. .
The video assistant referee ruled out a second goal for Switzerland through Mario Gavranovic for offside.
Wales will remain in Azerbaijan to face Turkey next Wednesday.
