President Rudolf Hauke takes his hat off after five years at the helm of TSV Eching.

Manfred Oster was elected as the new chairman on Thursday.

Eching

- For the first time in the 75-year history of TSV Eching, the annual general meeting was held as an online event.

The most important item on the agenda was the new elections.

The outgoing TSV chairman Rudolf Hauke, who resigned his position at the top of the club after five eventful and successful years, was able to present a complete eight-person management team.

As already became known at a previous Zoom conference, this consists of proven and new executives who have already demonstrated a lot of commitment and team spirit in the difficult Corona months.

With a convincing vote of confidence at the click of a mouse, 53 members with voting rights then elected their leadership team around the new chairman Manfred Oster on Thursday.

Strehlow is the new 3rd chairman

The other board members have stayed on board with deputy Gerd Beer, treasurer Wolfgang Nagl, youth leader Florian Uffinger and secretary and press spokeswoman Anna-Lena Beer - the only lady in the management team.

It was agreed that there was still room for improvement with a better balanced proportion of women.

There was an exchange of items at the office of the 3rd chairman, which Jan Strehlow, player of the first team and coach of the women's team, will take over from Bernhard Labermeier, who will in future act as an assessor just like youth coach Peter Hanrieder.

One of the innovations that was adopted by the majority is an increase in the work levy from 30 to 60 euros for all members of age who are not exempt from membership fees.

This contribution can be paid in four hours of work.

A new fee of 15 euros has been introduced for young members aged 17 and over, which can also be waived through cooperation.

In order to increase motivation and facilitate active participation, the framework conditions for the services incurred on the site were made more flexible.

Membership decline in the junior sector

The fact that children and adolescents in particular were and still are the victims of the pandemic, as youth leader Florian Uffinger made clear, could be seen from the decline in membership in the junior area, with 40 under 14-year-olds leaving the club (a decrease from 254 to 213 juniors) .

In the age group up to 18 there are 18 youth footballers (287 instead of 305).

In the junior area, there is a specific focus on recruiting and recruiting young kickers in daycare centers and schools.

Trial training courses are to be offered, as well as a family challenge in cooperation with the Vhs, as well as talent training for the A and B junior footballers from Echingen.

Financial "giga performance"

In addition, it became clear once again how indispensable as a guarantee for solid business and continuity in the financial sector within the past ten years Treasurer Nagl has been for the association: With his consistent and economical cash management, the club was not only able to be discharged, but even to build up some reserves - financially is that a “giga performance” that is ready for the Bundesliga, as Hauke emphasized.

Now the TSV has used the time of the pandemic to make sports and restaurants fit for the future in a comprehensive general renovation.

For this planning there are investment costs totaling almost 400,000 euros, for which a loan of 200,000 euros is necessary.

A guarantee from the municipality means a significant reduction in interest rates.

The sports restaurant could open at the beginning of July

Despite one or two unpleasant surprises in the course of the renovations, such as rising wood and raw material prices on the one hand and botch in the case of leaks found on the flat roof and exterior facade on the other, Hauke considers it realistic to open the sports restaurant under the new name Casa Rustica at the beginning of July can.

The hard-working members, especially a dozen or so helpers from the AH area, also played a decisive role in the quick and inexpensive renovation.

All together brought in almost 1,000 hours of work.

"The athletes and members are the pillars of the club," emphasized Hauke and thanked them for their voluntary work.

Hauke hands over a well-tilled field

Conversely, the officials of TSV Eching insisted on paying tribute to the outgoing chairman for his performance and his successful work for the benefit of the club. The old and new deputy Gerd Beer paid tribute in personal and moving words to the great commitment that Hauke has made for the TSV despite his cancer and said: "The club is now losing a top manager, but I have made a friend." To tie in with the club's goals of his predecessor with the vision of a healthy, financially solid and familiar club for all age groups is also the wish and declared will of the new chairman Manfred Oster: "We are full of energy and have big plans."

After about two and a half hours, everything essential was said.

With the feeling of handing over a well-tended field or an intact, "great club", Hauke, who promised to continue to be there for the TSV, not only symbolically took his hat.

He put on his TSV cap, waved around - and disappeared from the screen.
