Marco Verratti will soon be able to play for Italy during the Euro.
It was the Nazionale doctor who indicated this Sunday, without specifying whether he would be back on Wednesday against Switzerland for the second match of his selection.
The Paris SG midfielder, injured his right knee - distension of the internal lateral ligament - a month ago during training, missed the first match of the Azzurri, who won (3-0) without him against Turkey on Friday in opening match of the Euro.
"Verratti's return protocol is continuing as planned, without problems," said Dr Andrea Ferretti at a press conference.
"There are still three days before the match against Switzerland but there is still the last stage, the most demanding, training with the group," he added.
Verratti, however, took part on Saturday with twenty minutes of a friendly match between the reserve team of Pescara and the substitutes of the opening match.
Verratti played for twenty minutes, with substitute goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and striker Giacomo Raspadori, in a youth squad from Pescara, against a squad made up exclusively of Italian internationals.
His feelings were "good".
Contracture for Florenzi
Ferretti thanked the medical staff of PSG: "The whole course of treatment has been shared with PSG, since, according to UEFA regulations, the player who arrived injured in the selection must be considered cured by his club before playing again .
Doctor Christophe Baudot traveled to the Italian training center last week to see Verratti's recovery.
The medical staff of the selection also received a letter of thanks from Jean-Claude Blanc and Leonardo as a thank you for the good collaboration on the file of the midfielder.
On the other hand, Alessandro Florenzi, the right side of PSG and Italy, replaced at half-time in the opening match, suffers from a contracture in the right calf and could miss the second match against Switzerland.
