The Danish national soccer player Christian Eriksen is still in a stable condition the day after his collapse in the European Championship game against Finland.
“This morning we spoke to Christian Eriksen, who sent greetings to his teammates.
His condition is stable and he will remain in the hospital for further examination, ”said the Danish Football Association DBU on Twitter.
The national team and their support staff had received crisis support, the DBU explained. After the incident the previous evening, they would continue to be there for one another. Psychological help was offered to the players. All media activities are canceled for Sunday. The training has been postponed indefinitely. The association also thanked Eriksen for the warm greetings from fans, players, royal families, international associations, clubs and others.
In the European Championship preliminary round match between Denmark and Finland, 29-year-old Eriksen from Inter Milan collapsed on the grass shortly before the end of the first half and remained motionless.
Rescuers who were called immediately initiated life-saving measures.
Eriksen was transported to the hospital.
No further details are known about the cause of the collapse.
