In the European Championship match between England and Croatia (1-0) at London's Wembley Stadium, a spectator was seriously injured.
As a spokesman announced after the game at the request of the dpa news agency and the sports information service, the person fell from a grandstand shortly after kick-off.
After initial medical treatment on site, the person was brought to hospital in "critical condition".
There was initially no information on the condition, age and gender of the fan involved in the accident.
According to the Evening Standard newspaper, it was a man who fell from a rank and fell onto the seats and stone floor on the floor below.
The newspaper quotes several people who saw the accident.
Uefa announced that further information would be published at the "appropriate time".
The Wembley spokesman announced that the incident would be investigated together with Uefa.
22,500 spectators were in the arena on Sunday afternoon.
