The conclusion of the Republic Championship for badminton for the category of under 15 years

The Republic Championship in badminton for the category of under 15 years, which was held by the Federation of the Game in the Municipal Stadium in Homs, concluded today.

The results of the championship in the male category resulted in the victory of Al-Bara Barkho from Al-Hasakah, followed by Shadi Al-Ansari / Homs, then Taim Masoud / Al-Suwayda / Haidara Hijazi / Daraa / and Hussam Al-Ra’i / Lattakia / Khaled Jawabra / Damascus/.

The female competitions ended with Tala Al-Sawas / Homs / winning first place, followed by Raneem Hasbani / As-Suwayda / Nour Abazid / Daraa / Sana Al-Zoubi / Homs / Fella Al-Najjar / Homs / then Zainab Badour / Lattakia.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Firas Maalla, head of the General Sports Federation, pointed out the importance of the tournament as it is concerned with the talent category, indicating that Homs hosting the tournament is evidence of the state of recovery experienced by the sports sector in the governorate.

In her turn, the president of the Badminton Federation, Kholoud Al-Bitar, said that the federation is working to spread the game and employ the capabilities available to it to upgrade it, adding that the tournament produced highly skilled players, as a preparatory camp will be held in the coming period for the winners of the tournament in Damascus to prepare them for the upcoming benefits.
