Denmark's national soccer player Christian Eriksen has spoken for the first time since his dramatic collapse.
"Thank you everyone, I won't give up," the 29-year-old from the hospital sent a message to Gazzetta dello Sport via his manager: "I feel better now - but I want to understand what happened."
In the European Championship preliminary round match between Denmark and Finland, 29-year-old Eriksen from Inter Milan collapsed on the grass shortly before the end of the first half and remained motionless.
Rescuers who were called immediately initiated life-saving measures.
Eriksen was transported to the hospital.
The reason for Eriksen's collapse has not yet been clarified.
