An unusual protest action immediately before the kick-off of the European Championship between Germany and France surprised the audience.
Before the game between Germany and France kicked off, there was a curious incident in the Munich arena.
An alleged Greenpeace activist parachuted into the stadium and landed on the field.
According to commentator Béla Rethy, the flight was part of a protest by the non-profit organization, which is committed to protecting the environment, nature and the climate.
“It rushes off,” said ZDF man and observer Béla Rethy all of a sudden - we were talking about the parachutist.
The television viewers did not see the action, as the lineup of the Germans was faded in at exactly that moment, so Rethy had to comment on the curious event without suitable pictures.
"A madman who, thank God, comes down unharmed," he said of the action.
The pictures of the parachute show the inscription "Kick out oil" as well as the lettering of the environmental organization, the green jacket of the jumper also had a "Greenpeace" inscription.
This is another reason why Rethy suspected an activist background.

The landing apparently did not go optimally, as emerged from the further comment and various Internet videos.
"He has hooked himself to the cable from the Spider camera and is now being led away," he explained about the unclean arrival of the parachutist on the green.
“Yes, I hope so,” added the expert and ex-Bayern professional Sandro Wagner.
Shortly thereafter, pictures confirmed that the jumper had been taken into custody.

Statements by Rethy and Wagner also suggest that the man could have injured a person in the pub.
“A spectator got something,” said the two of them.
The players hardly reacted to the incident, Kylian Mbappé, for example, was standing on the center circle and could not be distracted from his concentration. Only Chelsea's German national player Antonio Rüdiger immediately rushed to the man and seemed to have asked the man about his well-being. (ajr)
