Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portugal national team, has set a record for international participation.
According to the Opta statistics network, Cristiano became the most participating European player in the continental championships in the history of the “World Cup and the Euro” combined, with 39 games, surpassing the German “Sebastian Schweinsteiger”, who participated with his country in 38 games.
At the same time, Ronaldo became the first player in history to participate in 5 different editions of the European Nations Cup in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.
