The tennis club Penzberg has started the summer round 2021.

The men could not yet win in the Super District League, but the Juniors I cheered in the District League.

Enclosed all match reports.

Bambini II / District class 2: TC Penzberg - TC Kochel 0: 6

- The first league game after the long lockdown break was lost for Bambini II, but both teams clearly enjoyed the game.

In the Penzberg team, 3 children also made their competitive debut and made their first experiences outside of training.

With perfect conditions, beautiful and exciting rallies could be observed in all games and on all courts.

In the doubles at the end of Benjamin Pfau and Felix Küster as well as Kaspar Hieber and Sofie Meschendörfer, the games were very even.

The kick-off has definitely aroused the desire for the other game days.

Juniors I / District League: Siemens TC Munich - TC Penzberg 1: 5

- After the reorganization of the youth division, last year's U16 (whose players would largely still be eligible to play in the U15) will play again in the district league, but this time in the U18. The first day of the match took place on the beautiful grounds of the Siemens TC Munich with summery temperatures and steadily refreshing winds. Despite the age advantage of the opposing team, all individual pairings were at eye level and could be won by the Penzbergers partly quickly, partly with a little more effort (Jonas Waldmann 6: 1 6: 0, Rafael Briegel 6: 1 6: 4, Liam Hirt 6: 4 6 : 1 and Veit Hieber 6: 2 6: 3). With the victory in their backs, the Penzberg boys went into the doubles with enthusiasm, with Waldmann / Briegel winning the doubles in a hurry (6: 3 6: 1). Hirt / Hieber left the opponents only after 2.5 hours.and many wind-blown balls in the match tibreak (4: 6 6: 3 7:10) the honor point. This successful first game day found a (long-missed) sociable end with a joint pizza meal in the open air.

Juniors II / District class 1: TC Penzberg II - TC Mittenwald 0: 6

- The Juniors II, however, as expected, had no chance against very strong Mittenwald players.

The focus was on gaining match practice and a common team feeling for the new season.

Men I / District League Super: TC Pfaffenhofen / Ilm - TC Penzberg 7: 2

- After promotion and last year's transition season, Men I were allowed to compete in the Super District League for the first time under competitive conditions. In Pfaffenhofen it was already clear from the list of the hosts that the Penzbergers would now have to compete with a different level. The first four players from Pfaffenhofen were classified in LK 1 or 2 and left the guests Sebastian Zeller, Peter Baumeister, Christian Deger and Stefan Föllmer no chance at all. From position 5 the games were even and here the Penzberg set two notable successes. Maxi Ontiveros, who was still eligible to play in the U16, defeated his clearly better rated opponent in a strong game (2: 6 6: 3 11: 9). Nils Beckmann also showed strong nerves and prevailed in the match break (6: 2 4: 6 10: 7).In the doubles, the Penzbergers kept up well, and at the end of this Sunday they were a bit away from a surprise. The sometimes outstanding level in this league makes all players and spectators want to play the remaining seven games.

Men III / District Class 2: SC Eibsee Grainau - TC Penzberg III 4: 5

- Men III started off with a narrow but well-deserved success at SC Eibsee Grainau.

The doubles were still balanced, here Niklas Kurzidem (6: 2 7: 6), Ludwig Brock (6: 4 6: 1) and Benedikt Schott (6: 0 6: 2) secured the points for the Penzbergers.

In doubles, the guests then chose the right line-up and achieved two safe victories thanks to the two pairings Kurzidem / Kilian Zimmermann (6: 1 6: 1) and Brock / Schott (6: 2 6: 4).

Men IV / District class 3: DJK Darching - TC Penzberg 5: 4

- The men’s IV team, newly founded for the summer season, initially caused disbelief among the men of the DJK Darching in view of their young age (born 2008-2004). On the pitch, however, three of the six youngsters were soon able to prevail confidently and quickly (Jonas Waldmann 6: 1 6: 0, Max Sendele 6: 3 6: 1 and Oscar Weidner 6: 1 6: 2). And this is accompanied by the constant roar of the directly neighboring A8, which was so loud that many a youthful call ("Off") was initially overheard. With the score of 3: 2 for Penzberg, the 5-a-side doubles with changing emotions among players and spectators and increasing heat was played for more than 2.5 hours: ultimately, Lorenz Hieber from Penzberg lost 7: 6 6: 7 7:10 in the match break . A preliminary decision should already be made here:Despite largely close doubles games, only the doubles Jonas Waldmann / Oscar Weidner managed to get the points home (6: 4 6: 2). So the boys left with a 4-5 defeat, but with an appreciative pat on the back from the gentlemen for the final dinner at the inn.

Men 40 I / regional league: TC Penzberg - TV Altötting 4: 5

- In the regional league the men 40 I awaited a thrilling duel with a total of four power-thirst breaks against Altötting. Even the singles were completely balanced. Werner Schmidt (6: 4 6: 4) and Alexander März (6: 3 6: 2) achieved two clear victories. Juan Ontiveros also left his fighter heart on the pitch (3: 6 6: 3 10: 5). So the doubles should bring the decision. The first two went clearly to the guests. In the third double, Kramer / Thorsten Nowak prevailed after a tough fight (3: 6 6: 3 10: 8). There was an unfortunate end for Schmidt / Alexander März in the second double, who finally lost in the match break (3: 6 6: 3 4:10). In the final accounts it was not enough for the possible victory at the beginning.

Men 40 II / District class 1: TC Raschke Taufkirchen - TC Penzberg II 4: 5

- Men 40 II had the happier end in Taufkirchen. The foundation for success lay the superior performance in the individual. Here Matthias Prams (6: 2 6: 3), Ralf Gross (6: 4 6: 0), Till Scheuermann (6: 3 6: 4) and Matthias Brock (6: 4 5: 7 10: 7) got four points for the Penzbergers. With this basis, the double success of Klaus Handel / Prams (6: 4 7: 6) was enough for the perfect start into the new season.

Men 55 / District League: TC Penzberg - ASV Dachau 3: 6

- The men 55 were clearly defeated in their first game of the season against strong Dachau guests. The match was already decided after the individual, as only Kersten Stöbe successfully designed his individual (6: 3 6: 3). In the doubles, the Penzberger showed an increase in performance. Both Bert Wagner / Stefan Bloch (7: 5 3: 6 10: 8) and Kai-Uwe Krönfeld / Harry Wolfsbauer (6: 3 0: 6 10: 7) forced their games in contested match-tie breaks on their side. The team would like to take this momentum with them to the next home game against Gilching and score points this time.

Women / District Class 2: TC Tutzing II - TC Penzberg 5: 4

- The women who started in District Class 2 suffered a bitter defeat against the second Tutzing team at the beginning. Three lost games in the match break were too many to win a point in the end. Isabell Schuldt (6: 3 7: 5) and Karolina Haferkorn (6: 1 6: 0) won their singles confidently. In the doubles, the pairings Caroline Baumeister / Lena Scharbert (7: 5 3: 6 10: 7) and Nina Apostolopoulos / Daniela Reitmeier (6: 2 6: 1) were successful. Next week comes the next chance for the Penzberg women in Eibsee Grainau.
