With the announcement of new elections, the umbrella organization of German sport is now adhering to the recommendations of the ethics committee, which had advised to do so in the Hörmann letter affair.
The leadership crisis had come to the public through an anonymous letter, which presumably came from the workforce of the association.
In the letter, the author (s) made explicit allegations against Hörmann for lack of leadership qualities (“culture of fear”).
The letter speaks of a lack of respect and fair play towards association employees.

After the criticism of his alleged management style, the calls for a fresh start at the DOSB have recently become louder.
