The tennis men 65 of SpVgg Zolling start the regional league season with two tough away games.

It will be a difficult round in terms of personnel.

Zolling

- in 2019 they rose as men 60 at SpVgg Zolling. And with a year delay, the Ampertaler are now celebrating their premiere in the men's 65 regional league. Reason: In the summer of 2020, the regional leagues were canceled early due to Corona, only the lower classes played on a voluntary basis and without promotion and relegation. Zollinger's goal is to stay in the league - in a season that could be difficult in terms of personnel.

Already for the opening game on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at FC 74 Munich, it will be pretty tight with a view to the line-up - and the SpVgg will hardly be able to bring the best formation onto the field in the further course of the season.

The personnel problems at the start are no big deal, because the team would probably not have a chance even with the best line-up: In the two away games at FC 74 and Luitpoldpark Munich, the two top favorites of the league are waiting right away.

Therefore, it feels like it doesn't really start until the home game against TC Gernlinden (Wednesday, June 30th, 11 a.m.) - these are opponents on an equal footing.

Zollinger want to establish themselves in the highest German league of this age group

"The teams have very different levels of play," says Zollings team leader Rolf Böhrer.

He and his teammates are prepared for the fact that the first two opponents in particular could be one or two sizes too big.

The Ampertaler will wait patiently for their chances to get the victories they need to stay in the league.

Because of course the gentlemen 65 of the SpVgg want to be at home in the highest German league of this age group.

The squad of SpVgg Zolling

1. Ireneusz Ciszewski, 2. Helmut Fischer, 3. Rolf Böhrer, 4. Jan Denisiewicz, 5. Jan Macek, 6. Michael Spachtholz, 7. Helmut Götze, 8. Jürgen Zwafink, 9. Dieter Fahrmeier, 10. Heinz Jäckl, 11. Karl Weindl, 12. Werner Tauchert.
