With Ion Gaimer an absolute guarantee of victory leaves the wrestlers of SpVgg Freising.
Abdul-Basir Ibrahimi and Murtaza Dawoodi are also changing.
- A few weeks before the start of the Bavarian Ringer League on September 4th, the staff carousel at SpVgg Freising was turning: The club had to let ex-trainer Ion Gaimer, who was an absolute guarantee of victory, and two other fighters go.
Ion Gaimer, who was five years coach at Domstadt and before that coach at SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos, will fight for the Hallberg top division competitor TV Geiselhöring in the coming season.
The now almost 40-year-old is still one of the top people, at least in the big leagues.
He won't be easy to beat in either the 71 or 75 kilo class in the classic style.
Gaimer, who just missed a medal a few times at the World Championships, has only lost one fight in Germany - against the former Hallbergmooser Artur Tatarinov.
Ibrahimi also joins the TV Geiselhöring
But there are other departures from the Freising wrestlers: Abdul-Basir Ibrahimi, who is at home in both styles, is also leaving the cathedral townspeople.
He also joins the TV Geiselhöring.
The 21-year-old Afghan, who did not fight for the SpVgg because of the corona pandemic, had come from SC Isaria Unterföhring and is fighting up to 61 or 66 kilos.
Ibrahimi is also a bitter loss for the Freising sports association.
After all, he made people sit up and take notice with 43 wins in 48 fights in the four years in which he ran for the Unterföhringer team.
How the club intends to compensate for this huge bloodletting is still unclear.
Back to the hometown club
The third departure from the Freising team is Murtaza Dawoodi, who does not leave the Bayernliga team behind.
The only 17-year-old, who came to the cathedral townspeople in 2019, is returning to his home club TSV St. Wolfgang in the group league.
There Dawoodi wrestles against ASV Au and the second of SpVgg Freising in the coming season.
