The Ukrainians took the lead by scoring in the first half by Yarmolenko (29th) and Yaremchuk (34th).
Back from the locker room, the Macedonians reduced the score thanks to Alioski (57th) without however succeeding in reversing the trend.
In their third match in the competition, Monday at 6 p.m., Ukraine will face Austria, when North Macedonia takes on the Netherlands.
