Defender Denis Vavro, as well as a member of the staff, are positive for Covid-19. They were placed in solitary confinement for ten days.

While Slovakia faces Sweden in Euro 2021 this Friday at 3 p.m., it has just lost one of its players.

Denis Vavro has tested positive for Covid-19.

Isolated for ten days, he will also miss the match against Spain, scheduled for Wednesday 23 June.

The coach of the Slovakian team, Stefan Tarkovic, assures that his player has "no symptoms and no health problems" and that "he is fine".

On Monday June 14, the Slovaks beat Robert Lewandowski's Poland 2-1, thus securing the lead of the group E. Denis Vavro had not taken part in the match, he was a substitute.

The Covid-19 is a constant threat for the teams in this competition.

Several selections have already paid the price, like Spain and its captain Sergio Busquets.

Absent in La Roja's first match against Sweden, Busquets (32) will not be able to participate in the second match against Poland this Saturday (9 p.m.).

The FC Barcelona midfielder has still not returned to the group.
