Tunisian player Anas Jaber qualified today for the third round of the Birmingham Tennis Championships.
Jaber, ranked 24th in the world, climbed to the third round of the British Championship after defeating Canadian Liliah Fernandez, ranked 66th in the world, in two sets to one, after two hours and 5 minutes of play.
Jaber will face the winner of the quarter-finals in the meeting between Russian Anastasia Batapova, ranked 82 in the world, and French Kristina Mladenovic, ranked 59 in the world.
