Memphis Depay signed today (Saturday) in Barcelona for two years, with an option for another season.
The 26-year-old winger is coming to the fourth stop in his career, after PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United and as mentioned Lyon and he will earn a salary of about 5.5 million euros per season.
Memphis, who has played for French side Lyon for the past four years, has been back by the Catalans for more than a year, and is now officially joining Ronald Koeman's latest signing list last summer, which so far includes Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Emerson.
Memphis' signing comes after the failure of contacts with Liverpool stopper Georginio Vinaldom, who eventually gave up on the move to Camp Nou after a deal had already been reached with the Catalans, eventually opting for the French Cup holder and French runners-up Paris Saint-Germain.
Memphis actually joins forces with Ronald Koeman, who pushed hard for his joining.
The striker served as the key player in the front of the Dutch national team under Koeman when he coached the Orange, when in 16 games under him, he scored 11 goals and cooked 12 more.

The winger, who can also function at the helm, grew up at PSV Eindhoven and in the summer of 2015 was sold to Manchester United for 34 million euros.
His time at Old Trafford was marked by instability and he rarely got minutes of play after the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
In January 2017, after just a season and a half at Manchester United, Memphis was sold to Lyon for 16 million euros and has since flourished.
In 178 games in all competitions in the Lyon uniform, he scored 76 goals and cooked up 55 more and in his three and a half years in France, became one of the most prominent players in the Ligue 1.
