XV of France: Penaud, Thomas and Taofifenua called to supervise 22 neophytes for the tour in Australia

2021-06-25T02:44:05.912Z

Deprived of many elements for the next three matches against the Wallabies, Fabien Galthié has called for half of newcomers.

Deprived of many elements, starting with captain Charles Ollivon and his Toulon teammate Baptiste Serin, injured for several months, as well as the players from Toulouse and La Rochelle, finalists of the Top 14, Fabien Galthié gathered a group of 42 players with a half of neophytes.

Racingman Teddy Thomas will be the most capped player (27 caps) alongside Romain Taofifenua (25 caps) and Damian Penaud (22 caps).

With Demba Bamba, Dylan Crétin and Arthur Vincent, only six players have at least ten caps.

Among the newcomers, we find in particular the revelation of the season of Perpignan Melvyn Jaminet, the opening half of the Stade Français Joris Segonds or the Toulonnais Gervais Cordin.

The XV of France will face Australia three times: July 7, 2021 in Sydney, July 13, 2021 in Melbourne and finally July 17, 2021 in Brisbane.
