The footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos also won the test match at FC Schwaig.
But they made life difficult for themselves with two own goals.
Hallbergmoos
- There were five goalscorers in the statistics - and all five were footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos.
That sounded good, but on Saturday it was only enough to achieve a 3-2 (0-1) win for the Bayernliga promoted team at the Landesliga newcomer FC Schwaig.
Apparently they followed the trend of the European football championship and fabricated two own goals.
“Yes, maybe some of them really watched too much EM,” joked VfB head coach Gedi Sugzda after the final whistle.
Of course, the coach takes the fact that he has seen too many mistakes in defensive behavior much more seriously.
He combines this with the warning "that mistakes are punished much faster in the Bayernliga".
In addition, there were special things like the lifter from 35 meters with which Carl Opitz (19th) hit his own case after the break.
In the end, Michael Schrödl ensured the hosts from Schwaig connected with the second own goal (88th).
However, coach Gedi Sugzda also allowed mitigating circumstances to apply because the game in Schwaig was the first match against a reasonably equally strong team in eight months.
Philipp Beetz, Daniel Bauer and Andreas Kostorz score for a 3-2 victory
In view of this, the coach spoke of “a decent test” by VfB Hallbergmoos.
His team also had some good scenes and deservedly won thanks to goals from Philipp Beetz (51st), Daniel Bauer (56th) and Andreas Kostorz (59th).
So there have been some positive things.
VfB Hallbergmoos: return to the back four?
Sugzda knows the Bayern League and is relaxed about four weeks before the first league game.
His troops need the time to improve their stamina and minimize the error rate.
For the “Bayernliga” challenge, he is also considering a system return to the back four.
In the state league, the Hallbergmoosers had mostly oriented themselves offensively with a three-man chain, but other tactics are also required in the higher division.
Therefore one will try out different systems again.
