How far will Germany make it at the EM?
The draw for the knockout round plays into the cards of the DFB team.
But first a very difficult task awaits.

It's a 50/50 game between two major football nations - but if Jogi Löw's team survive the tough test at Wembley, “only” supposedly easier opponents wait until the final.
The tournament tree after the group stage has two sides which, at first glance, are rather unevenly distributed.
While France, Spain, Italy and Belgium are the top nations on the one hand, Germany and England * on the other hand are the only remaining heavyweights.
The Netherlands were surprisingly out of the game against the Czech Republic on Sunday.

And it is already clear that the next favorite will have to give up on Tuesday: Germany or England.
Those who prevail in the traditional duel then have a great chance of making it to the final.
In the quarter-finals, the opponent would be Sweden or Ukraine, in the semifinals either Denmark or the Czech Republic are waiting.
Only in the final would there be another encounter with a real top team such as the French.
However, there are probably no more easy games at an EM * from the round of 16.
The Dutch had to experience that painfully.

So for Löw and his team it is important to survive in the cauldron at Wembley - then anything is possible.
Both the English and the German team are full of international class, both of them had to take criticism from their own country in the preliminary round.
You stars from the island have the home advantage, but consequently more pressure.
The defending champion had to say goodbye on Sunday evening: Portugal was just defeated by the Belgians.
If Germany does not want to follow suit, the DFB-Elf has to show a different face than against Hungary - Jogi Löw may be rebuilding the team *.
