Simon Henseleit scores big in the Bundesliga

Just a few days after his start at the European Super Sprint Championship, Simon Henseleit showed a strong performance in the Bundesliga: The Steingadener finished on the podium with the “hep Team NSU”.

Steingaden - Just a few days after his start at the European Super Sprint Championship, Simon Henseleit showed a strong performance in the Bundesliga: with the “hep Team NSU” from Neckarsulm, the man from Steingaden took third place yesterday at the competition in Potsdam. With his furious appearance in third place in his team, Henseleit had a large share in the podium.

After the DM in Berlin, Potsdam was the second stop in the first division this year. The race was held in a very special mode. In the morning there was a prologue (250 meters swimming / 2.8 kilometers cycling / 1.1 kilometers running). The total time of a team consisting of four athletes was decisive for the intervals at the relay start in the afternoon (Gundersen method). There the participants had to swim 250 meters, cycle 5.6 kilometers and run 1.1 kilometers. There was always one athlete per team who sent a colleague out onto the track after his work. After the prologue, the "hep Team NSU" (47:17 minutes) held the top position among a total of 15 teams. Simon Henseleit (11:43) and Arnaud des Boscs set the fastest time within the team.In the overall ranking of all starters, the man from Steingaden was third fastest.

In the afternoon, the Neckarsulm team started the race three seconds ahead of top favorite TV Buschhütten and 16 seconds ahead of “Hylo Team Saar”.

The NSU actors Eric Diener (3:52 p.m.) and Jan Diener (3:45 p.m.) did well.

When Henseleit started, the NSU team was two seconds behind Buschhütten.

In the water, the man from Steingaden took the lead and then made great pace on the bike on the winding course.

He extended the lead up to 17 seconds.

After a total of 15:37 minutes, he was the first to hand over to the final athlete des Bocsc.

He fought bravely, but still on the bike there was a merger with Lasse Lührs (Bushhütten) and Lasse Priester (Saar).

In running, Lührs (15:14) then secured victory for his team.

Priester (15:18) came in second, des Bocsc (15:43) in third.

The top five in Potsdam: 1st Ejot Team TV Buschhütten (1:02:45 hours), 2nd Hylo Team Saar (1:02:49), 3rd hep Team NSU (1:02:56), 4th Triathlon Team DWS Darmstadt (1:04:20), 5th Triathlon Potsdam (1:05:16).

The next Bundesliga race will take place in Nuremberg on August 8th.
