TSV Eching: lost test match, gained important insights

The district league footballers of TSV Eching had to play in the test kick against FC Hertha Munich on Saturday - and were promptly defeated 0: 2.

TSV Eching and its coach Michael Schütz are smarter after the 2-0 draw on Saturday against FC Hertha Munich.

"I learned a lot from this game," said Schütz.

The coach uses the preparation phase to try things out and get to know his team.

He chose the perfect tactic against Eintracht Karlsfeld a week ago.

What worked great in the 4-2 win over the top regional league team, however, was unsuccessful against FC Hertha from the southern district league: “We didn't have to play the game against Karlsfeld, but we created chances with quick attacks.

We had to play the game against Munich.

We had one problem or another with that, ”Schütz analyzed.

In the game structure the automatisms were missing.

The zebras had chances before the break, but the game was too static and predictable.

In the second half, John Edebiri put the guests in the lead with a penalty kick (66th).

There was no reaction, the TSV lacked the power after the tough week of training - and shortly before the end, Edebiri tied the brace (88th).

Schütz's conclusion about the game: “I've seen what works and what doesn't.

I've seen the players move in a system.

These are important findings - the result is not important. "
