By disclosing its prelist for the Tokyo Games, Spain has achieved what France is struggling to do. Make a list that does not raise

Spain did better than the Blues.

Not just in reaching the quarter-finals after their stunning victory over Croatia on Monday, but also in managing their list of selected players for the Olympics.

On the French side, despite a list published on Friday, we still do not know for sure who will or will not go to Japan.

The Iberians are light years away from these concerns.

This Tuesday, the Spanish football team called the stars Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos as well as six players currently playing the Euro with the “Roja” for the Olympic Games in Tokyo (23 July-8 August).

At the federation's headquarters in Las Rozas, the coach of the Olympic football team Luis de la Fuente unveiled a very competitive Spanish selection on Tuesday.

From this group of 22 players, the coach will have to rule out four and retain only 18 for Japan.

Unai Simon, the goalkeeper of the "Roja" author of an error without consequences Monday in the eighth finals of the Euro against Croatia (5-3 a) before making up for it with two memorable saves, appears well in this first list .

The five other Euro players who are also called up for the Games are Barça central defender Eric Garcia, Villarreal Pau Torres' midfielder Blaugrana Pedri, as well as strikers Dani Olmo (RB Leipzig) and Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad), author of the last goal of the "manita" of the "Roja" against Croatia in Copenhagen, in extra time.

Asensio and Ceballos, the two Real players selected

While no Real Madrid player is in Luis Enrique's selection for the Euro, there are two who can claim to be on the trip to Japan: winger Marco Asensio as well as midfielder Cédric Ceballos (from return from loan to Arsenal) figure well in Luis de la Fuente's list.

Spain will gather this Wednesday in Las Rozas, and will fly to Benidorm (south-eastern Spain) on Thursday to begin its preparation.

She will then travel on July 13 to Japan.

She will play a friendly match against the Japanese Olympic selection on July 17, then return to Sapporo the next day, the scene of her first two matches.

The Spaniards are in Group C with Egypt, Argentina and Australia.

Their Games run begins on July 22 against Egypt, then they face Australia on July 25 and Argentina on July 28.
