The leaders of the club thus sent, Monday, a letter to the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) to plead their case and demand a conciliation with the LNV. They hope for an answer within two weeks. They also alerted the world of sport through a statement on the club's social networks and sent a message to the board of directors of the Volleyball Federation and to Roxana Maracineanu, the Minister Delegate in charge of sports.

“We do not understand why there is no dialogue with the League, regrets Julien Lamy, former captain and now General Manager of Plessis-Robinson.

We have the impression that we are not considered by the Volleyball League.

We got the right to ride, we work hard to meet all the criteria but we are not taken seriously.

There is an emergency because we have a season to prepare.

It is this lack of dialogue that forces us to approach the CNOSF.

It is considered that there is a breach of equity.

I do not want to go into considerations of individual or political problems.

We hope that the part in front of us wishes the good of volleyball, like us.

The club, whose new budget of € 1.2 million was voted on Monday evening during the city council, meets all the requirements requested by the League except that of having a room with a capacity of 1500 places. He had approached his neighbor of Paris Volley to rent the Charpy room for 4 posters (Cannes, Chaumont, Montpellier and Tours) as had been requested by mid-June Yves Bouget, the president of the LNV. An agreement between the two clubs had therefore been signed. But a week later the League office had requested that the Plessis relocate all its matches in a hall with at least 1,500 seats.

“We have received approval to go up to 850 places, it is below the 1,500 places requested but we are not the only club in this situation, continues Lamy. Our 850 places correspond to the average attendance in Men's League A and other clubs had been entitled to a derogation. It's not shocking for a first season. We have a commitment from elected officials to have a room up to standards within 3 years (with the neighboring town of Clamart where the women's volleyball team is playing in the 2nd division). We are also asked to install a Taraflex floor, we budgeted for it (around 40,000 euros), but our room will have a new high-end floor at a cost of 130,000 euros next year as part of the Games. in Paris in 2024. We have also hired 6 employees. We did everything to meet the demands of the League. We hope that we will be listened to. "

If the conciliation of the CNOSF does not succeed, the club will initiate proceedings before the Administrative Court of Sport. The fight is not over for Le Plessis-Robinson.
