Professional soccer player Jadon Sancho is moving from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United.
Both clubs informed about the "agreement in principle".
The English record champion pays "a fixed transfer fee of 85.0 million euros," it said in the mandatory announcement from Borussia to the stock exchange.
The contractual details have yet to be agreed and documented. "The formal processing of the transfer is also subject to successful completion of all necessary medical tests and examinations, a coordination procedure with the player's previous club and the proper and timely processing in accordance with the provisions of the Fifa Transfer Matching System (FIFA TMS)", it went on.
Manchester United was already close to a commitment from Sancho last summer, but did not want to pay the 120 million euros transfer fee required by BVB at the time.
The previous record transfer was Ousmane Dembélé, for whom FC Barcelona paid a total of around 135 million euros to the Revierclub.
According to reports, BVB has to pay 15 percent of the amount for Sancho to his former club Manchester City.
According to media reports, the 21-year-old England international, who so far only had a six-minute short stint at the European Championship, will receive a five-year contract until the summer of 2026. He moved from Manchester City to Dortmund in 2017 for around 7.5 million euros and still had a contract until June 30, 2023 in Dortmund.
