Part of the history of the game, however, is that both sides were weak in terms of personnel - and a field player guarded the goal at Freising.

Since the keepers Patrick Negele and Boris Hrvacanin were missing, SEF trainer Alex Plabst had to make a decision.

"I put Basti Thalhammer in the gate," said Plabst.

That was not noticed, because Eching was quite good on the defensive, but did not come to an end with his counter-pinpricks.

What was very noticeable at the regional league club was the lack of players. “I only have two thirds of the squad available. If half a dozen regular players are not there, it will be difficult, ”said Plabst. His team was superior, but there was a lack of solutions in the last third. “We didn't think of much in the game. The passing game was unclean, we weren't clever and the pace wasn't good. ”The only goal before the break was scored by his team: Domagoj Tiric gave the visitors the lead in the 38th minute.

TSV coach Michael Schütz saw positive approaches in his team despite the deficit.

“We didn't allow a lot and had counter-situations, but we were too hectic.” He changed completely before the second half.

That wasn't good for the zebra game.

“It was disintegrated.

We didn't clog the rooms so well. ”Freising was not at the limit for a long time - but it was enough for two more hits from Selim Magat (59th) and Miguel Fantl (73rd).

SEF coach Plabst finds critical words

“We didn't have much to offer in terms of playing technology.

There were players who have to improve.

Otherwise we will run into problems in the league, ”concluded Plabst.

While the coach of the winning team found critical words, the other side emphasized the positive: “I see progress, but we have to take one step at a time.

We need time to find each other.

That doesn't happen overnight, ”emphasized Schütz.
