The Tour de France has withdrawn its lawsuit against the spectator who caused a pile-up with a sign during the first stage of the Tour of France.

This was announced by the organizers of the Reuters news agency.

The French newspaper "L'´Équipe" also reports on it.

On Wednesday, four days after the mass fall caused by a spectator at the start of the tour in Brittany, the wanted woman was arrested by the local police.

It is said to be a 30-year-old French woman.

She was holding a cardboard sign that read "Allez Opi-Omi" and was looking away from the cyclists into a television camera as they passed.

German Tony Martin was knocked down when he drove straight into the sign and a large number of other drivers also fell.

“We're withdrawing our complaint.

This story was overstated, but we would like to remind everyone of the safety rules of the race, «said Tour Director Christian Prudhomme.

“When you come on tour, hold your child, hold your pet, and don't cross the street carelessly.

And above all: respect the drivers. "

On Tuesday, the Tour de France riders interrupted the race for about a minute and came to a standstill after the first kilometer on the fourth stage.

They wanted to protest for safer racing conditions after numerous falls.
