Rugby: Wales crushes Canada ... but cries Halfpenny

Leigh Halfpenny injured her knee this Saturday, during the Welsh victory over Canada (68-12), in Cardiff, and the day of her 100th international cap.

Wales, despite the absence of many executives, largely dominated Canada (68-12) this Saturday in Cardiff, but their victory was weighed down by the early injury of Leigh Halfpenny, the day of his hundredth international selection.

The 32-year-old full-back donned the Leek XV's red jersey for the 96th time in his career, which has also seen him play four times for the British and Irish Lions.

In tears after injuring his left knee in the 2nd minute, on a change of support, the former Toulon player left on a stretcher and to the applause of the public, partially back at the Millennium Stadium for the first time since February 2020.

After a nightmarish start to the game, between that twist of fate and Canada's first try in the 5th minute, the Welsh rolled off, scoring ten tries in total, including two from third row Taine Basham for his selection debut.

They were, however, deprived of most of their best players, selected for the Lions tour of South Africa.
